President & Founder

Dance & Yoga Teacher

with CK since 1998!

I began dancing at a small studio in Fairport, NY, at age four. I then moved on to Fitzsimmons Dance Factory, where I danced competitively throughout high school. During my time at Fitzsimmons, I had the opportunity to take classes in NYC at Broadway Dance Center and at New York City Dance Alliance from world-renowned instructors, including Mia Michaels (judge/choreographer on So You Think You Can Dance).

In 1998, I founded Creative Kids Dance. Rather than opening a traditional dance studio, I decided to bring my instruction to childcare centers and schools in and around the Rochester, NY area. I knew I loved working with children, but I didn’t realize how much until I started receiving phone calls and notes from parents telling me how much their children loved dance and the positive impact it was having on them.

Years later, after completing my first of three yoga certifications, I created a yoga program to add to our offerings, and we became Creative Kids Dance & Yoga in 2016, partnering with over fifty daycare centers and schools.

In 2024, I continued my mission to inspire children through movement and mindfulness by starting Creative Kids Movement Network, helping others who are passionate about dance and yoga, and who want to make a difference in the lives of young children, start their own Creative Kids.

Through continuing education, we constantly strive to bring our students the best childhood dance and yoga classes. For me, there is nothing more rewarding than teaching children. It is amazing to see and be a part of a child’s development.

Dance Teacher

with CK since 2009!

I started dancing at Images In Dance (Batavia, NY) at the age of seven. While dancing there I took classes at the American Academy of Ballet (Clarence, NY) and at the Buffalo City Ballet (Buffalo, NY) as well. I then moved my training to the Little Red Dancing School (Rochester, NY). While studying there I took additional classes at the Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, and the New York City Dance Alliance.

In 1997, I joined the dance team for the Rochester Rhinos and in 1998 I was on the dance team for the Buffalo Blizzards. In 1998, I began teaching at Dance 22 (Webster, NY) and continued teaching there until 2001. I was also the Dance Director for the Town of Henrietta Recreational Programs from 1998 through 2000. In the summer of 1998, I worked at Woodward Gymnastics Camp in Pennsylvania and worked as a Gymnastics Assistant for the Town of Pittsford Recreational Programs.

In 1999, I became a founding member of The Dance Theater Project (an improvisational dance company) which performed in Rochester and Buffalo, NY. I also started at Centerstage (Rochester, NY) and continued there until 2001.

In 2001, my husband and I moved to Japan and I began teaching dance and gymnastics on Misawa Air Force Base. I was the Dance and Gymnastics Coordinator there until August 2005. Along with teaching with Creative Kids, I am a certified gymnastics coach at Bright Raven.

Miss Jess

Dance Teacher

with CK since 2012!

I began dancing when I was 3 years old. Growing up a competitive dancer, I was fortunate enough to take class from many different teachers...even famous ones like Travis Wall and Twitch from So You Think You Can Dance!

I began my teaching journey when I was just a senior in high school and I continue to love it more and more as the years go by. In addition to Creative Kids, I teach at Premier Dance Center in Greece, NY where my students have won many achievements.

I find so much joy in teaching dance. In addition to the many dance steps I have the opportunity to teach, I also have the opportunity to pass on many life lessons dance has taught me...dedication, teamwork, and most of all PASSION! I look forward to sharing my love of dance with your child!
